Technical Information

Standards Compliance

This site is compliant with the HTML4 standard as defined by the W3C organisation. It was tested for functionality and visual compliance in major browsers, namely Internet Explorer (version 5 and 6), Mozilla FireFox (version 1) and Opera (version 8). The design was optimised to support screen resolutions from 800x640 upwards. This website does not currently have a text-only version.

Used Technologies

Our standard environment for publishing web resources is a combination of PHP dynamic scripting language and MySQL database. In addition to pure HTML we use browser-optimised JavaScript in selected DHTML components (menus). We do not use Java applets or ActiveX.

Third-Party Solutions

We are using a range of third-party solutions, some of which are based on open source code, with our own customizations. Such solutions include:
• phpBB engine for users forum
• Web Components Engine for image galleries by Comdev Software
• e-Newsletter system by Comdev Software
• XCart e-commerce solution core

Hybrid concept

The Eurobible.net web structure is generated from components, databases and linked resources every three hours on a periodic basis. Last runtime was Wed, May 14, 2008 02:59:03 CEST+0200.

New Bibles in 2007

In 2007 IBS Europe will be releasing two new first edition Bibles in Europe - Russian and Romanian. Following the elaborate development process and rigid methodology, we will be happy to offer high standard translations that use modern language while representing accuracy and faithfulness to the original texts. Both equipped with a wealth of footnotes, these translations are targeted to be used by new believers, for outreach and evangelism, especially among young people, as well as for general reading.
