NASHVILLE, Tennessee—Tonight, in the last of five Faith Nights at Greer Stadium this season, the Nashville Sounds, International Bible Society (IBS) and Spiritual Outdoor Adventures (SOA) will team up to give away 2,500 IBS Heart of the Outdoors Bibles to attendees of the AAA minor-league baseball game between the Nashville Sounds and the Oklahoma Redhawks.
IBS and SOA have a common desire to share the message of Jesus Christ with others. The Nashville Sounds’ Faith Night presents a unique opportunity for the two ministries to work together.
Jimmy Sites, producer and host of the award-winning Spiritual Outdoor Adventures TV series, will address the crowd after a pre-game concert and announce the Bible giveaway. The first 2,500 people who come to the SOA booth will receive a free copy of IBS’ custom Bible for outdoor enthusiasts.
Cory Hardesty, IBS Church Relations Liaison, summed up IBS’ participation. “What a privilege and honor for us at IBS to work hand in hand with Jimmy Sites’ ministry to impact people’s lives with God’s Word,” Hardesty said. “There is nothing better in life than seeing the Body of Christ work together.”
Sites remarked, “I see myself as a farmer charged with the responsibility to plant seeds. In other words, I am to distribute as many Bibles to as many people as possible across the field of the world. International Bible Society is right there in the field with me, supplying the seed.”
Brent High, a Sounds program manager, commented on tonight’s event. “A baseball game is really a non-church event, but churches are very supportive of Faith Night. One hundred twenty-seven church groups are participating in Faith Night, some coming from as far away as Southern Kentucky. We’re expecting our highest attendance of the season.”

Spiritual Outdoor Adventures introduces people to Jesus through outdoor activities—such as hunting, fishing, golfing, climbing and river rafting—by comparing elements of the activities to the life of Jesus.
International Bible Society, founded in 1809, faithfully translates, publishes and reaches out with God’s Word so that people around the world may become disciples of Jesus Christ and members of His Body. You can learn more about IBS at www.ibs.org.

Following the elaborate development process and rigid methodology, we will be happy to offer high standard translations that use modern language while representing accuracy and faithfulness to the original texts. Both equipped with a wealth of footnotes, these translations are targeted to be used by new believers, for outreach and evangelism, especially among young people, as well as for general reading.
