IBS International Network
International Bible Society has ministry centres in 40 countries around the world, getting God's Word even to some of the most unlikely places.
In the Middle East, where more than 85 per cent of the people are Muslim, millions of Arabic Scriptures are made available and attract intense interest, particularly in settings such as Cairo's International Book Fair.
IBS activity in the Chinese Area of the world responds to growing spiritual hunger and growth over the past five decades, a phenomenon unparalleled in the history of the Christian Church. We have been working in Mainland China for the past 17 years, distributing both the New Testament and the complete Bible in 'simplified character script.'
The area of East Asia includes Brunei, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, North and South Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
Covering India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and the Andamar and Nicobar Islands, South Asia is one of the most heavily populated areas of the world. The population of India, from where IBS ministry in this area is coordinated, now exceeds 1 billion.
Africa was known as the Dark Continent when Scottish missionary pioneer, David Livingstone, first went there. Today, the light of God's Word has changed Africa into an area where the Church is experiencing substantial growth. IBS provides Scriptures for evangelism and discipleship in nations such as Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe, as well as Francophone Africa.
In Latin America there are IBS ministry centres in Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Guatemala and Mexico, with additional outreach to Columbia and Cuba.
Europe covers 20 per cent of the earth's surface, and its 800 million people represent 15 per cent of the world's population. Much of IBS activity on this strategic continent is featured on this website.

New Bibles in 2007
In 2007 IBS Europe will be releasing two new first edition Bibles in Europe - Russian and Romanian.
Following the elaborate development process and rigid methodology, we will be happy to offer high
standard translations that use modern language while representing accuracy and faithfulness to the
original texts. Both equipped with a wealth of footnotes, these translations are targeted to be used
by new believers, for outreach and evangelism, especially among young people, as well as for general reading.
If you are a church, ministry or organization, contact us for ministry pricing, samples, formats, and to request
availability information.
